Adding social media share buttons to surveys

Using social media, you can reach potential respondents. Respondents can invite their friends to fill out your survey as well. Use Medallia Agile Research to add social media share buttons to your surveys.

Using variables, you can add the social media share button of your choice to the thank-you page or to a question, as follows:

  1. Open your survey.
  2. Click the pencil icon next to the thank-you page or any question to which you want to add these buttons.
  3. Enter the following variables
    • Facebook — $$$Share~facebook~https://survey-url/~$$$

    • Twitter — $$$Share~twitter~https://survey-url/~$$$

    • LinkedIn — $$$Share~linkedin~https://survey-url/~$$$

    • WhatsApp — $$$Share~whatsapp~https://survey-url/~$$$

  4. Replace the https://survey-url part with your own survey's generic URL (i.e., the URL you get when selecting the distribution channel cia web).

  5. Click Save.

When you open the preview, you will see the corresponding social media share buttons appear.

As soon as a respondent clicks on one of these icons, they will – depending on the social media website selected – be able to add a personal message.
