Customer Metadata Data Adapter
The Customer Metadata Data Adapter provides information about the current customer interacting with a Touchpoint. This includes any captured attributes for that customer. Information stored in the Customer Metadata Data Adapter includes the customer ID, customer recognition status, and date of the customer's first interaction.
Any customer data captured from an Attribute Capture Point and saved as a new data attributes is also stored here. This enables an organization to capture data from, for example, web forms, or data about previous searches a customer has undertaken on a website. They can use that data in Eligibility Rules to optimize the customer's experience in the future by showing them personalized content.
Example
A customer visits his insurers web site to purchase home insurance based on a quote he asked for previously. He already has car insurance with the same company. MXO recognizes the customer, Mr Smith, and displays a personalized message, “Welcome back, Mr Smith.”, along with a link to retrieve the previous quote on the website homepage.
