Editing a clip

In the showreel editor carousel, clips are labeled with the clip title input when the clip was created and the clip length. Click any clip in the carousel to access the clip editor.

The clip title is for reference and it does not appear in the generated showreel. To edit the clip title, edit the text in the Clip Title field and click checkmark icon Confirm.

Editing the clip transcript

The showreel editor displays the text transcript of the clip. If the clip is in a language other than English, by default the spoken word transcript displays in the Native tab. Click the English tab to view the translation transcript.

Subtitles in a showreel are generated from the transcript text. If you set Generation configuration to include native or English subtitles, edit the transcript of a clip so the subtitles match the spoken word.

Editing transcript text in the Showreel editor does not update the original media transcript.

To edit the subtitle text in the transcript:

  1. In the transcript field, click Edit icon so the button changes color.
  2. Click on a word to edit in the transcript. This opens the text editor area beneath the transcript field.
  3. Edit the cue point text in the text editor.
  4. Click Save.
Important: Transcript edits do not save if you do not click Save before clicking to a different cue point.
  5. Click another line of transcript to open a new cue point in the text editor. Click Save after you edit each cue point.
  6. Click Edit icon to close the transcript text editor.
