Copying questions

When you add a question to your survey, you can also choose to copy an existing question, either from the survey you are currently editing or from a previously created survey.

You can still edit the copied question afterwards by, for example, adding answer options, removing answer options, or changing the question content.

Copying a question from the same survey

  1. Open your survey.
  2. Select the arrow dropdown to the left of the question you want to copy and select Copy.

  3. Select the question you wish to put this copy in front of. This can be any existing question.

  4. Click Copy.

Copying a question from another survey

  1. Open the survey into which you want to copy a question.
  2. Add a question.

  3. In the pane that opens, select the Copy tab.
  4. Select the survey from which you want to copy a question in the Survey dropdown. You can also search for a specific survey by typing its name in the search box.Copy tab.

  5. Select the desired question from the Question dropdown. The list will show only the questions available in the selected survey.

  6. Click Copy. The selected question will now be added to your survey. In order to edit it further click the pencil icon and select Edit. You can also make textual changes using inline editing.

Note: The original question's

data label

as well as any scoring, prefilling, or question display logic will not be copied when you copy a question.
