Convert to number
Converts a symbolic (string) attribute value into a numeric attribute value for use in decisioning.
Useful for converting attribute values that may have been set up as symbolic in your own existing systems, into numeric values required by MXO for use in decisioning. Also, for converting any values captured by the Request Data Adapter, which are all saved as symbolic, in the first instance.
You can create an Eligibility Rule that converts the existing symbolic value into a numeric value and use that rule in other Eligibility Rules requiring the numeric value.
Example Use Case
An insurance company capture age as a symbolic value and want to use that value in a rule to determine whether or not customers are eligible for certain discounts.
