Using different UCID formats

Overview

In some TIAL Genesys integrations, the order of the bytes making up the Universal Call ID (UCID) is reversed from the original format before being sent to Callback. Using the wrong UCID results in incorrect reporting and tracking of the calls.

Configuration

To configure Callback to correctly use the UCID format sent to it, set the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Virtual Hold\Genesys\SwitchUCIDByteOrder registry setting as follows:

  • TRUE - Use this setting when the UCID sent to Callback is already reversed and must be reversed or reverted again in order for Callback to process the original UCID.
  • FALSE - (default value) Use this setting when the UCID sent to Callback is in the expected (original) format and no reversion or reverting is required.
