Core Monitor Architecture

What is the Core Monitor?

The Core Monitor is responsible for monitoring defined applications on the Core Instance server. It is configured to restart applications when unexpected stopping of applications occur and automatically failing over to a backup Core Instance server when defined rules are reached.

Applications monitored by the Core Monitor

  • Queue Manager
  • Operation Mode Server
  • Provider
  • Report Writer
  • License Server
  • Interaction Service
  • Real-Time Adapter

The Core Monitor is a required application always installed on each Core Instance server in a Callback solution.

The Core Monitor will monitor the following applications:

The WatchDog is what monitors the Core Monitor. It will start the Core Monitor in the event an unexpected stop occurs.
