Release highlights
A new Bridge transfer option has been added to assist with passing the caller ANI in Avaya environments.
In Avaya/IVG/VIS integrations without a Session Border Controller (SBC), the default Blind transfer method of transferring calls via SIP does not pass the caller ANI back to the Avaya environment successfully.
A new configurable property has been added in VIS 7.7 to allow you to choose between Bridge and Blind transfer methods. See the VIS 7.7 release notes for more information.
Alongside the new Bridge/Blind option, A new Holly Voice Portal (HVP) application parameter has been added in IVG 5.1 to strip extra prefix digits from the caller ANI for Caller ID, which is needed when using the Bridge method.
Fixed issues
ID | Description | Versions Affected |
---|---|---|
178033262 | When configured to use LDAP users, the previous IVG installer (5.0) threw an error and did not complete the installation. An issue with the version of HVP packaged with the previous IVG release (5.0) caused a failure during installation with LDAP users. This issue has been resolved in the IVG 5.1 installer. | 5.0 |
Known issues
180103356 | An issue with a specific TLS configuration in Avaya environments can cause callbacks to be disconnected before transferring to agents. This issue has only been seen in the following scenario:
In this scenario, an issue with the processing of SIP messages can cause HVP to overwrite the TLS port with a 0 when attempting to transfer a customer to an agent. This results in callbacks being disconnected without the customer speaking with an agent. Versions affected: IVG 5.0 and higher using HVP 7.2.12 and higher Workaround: Contact the VHT Support team to discuss potential solutions, which could include:
|
180330576 | HVP 7.2.12 can disconnect calls early in IVG 5.0 and 5.1. In versions of IVG utilizing the HVP patch 7.2.12, HVP sometimes disconnects inbound customer calls before any voice prompts are played. When this occurs, customers hear silence and their calls are quickly disconnected. This issue only occurs during periods of high traffic (a specific volume threshold is not known). Versions affected: IVG 5.0 and 5.1 Workaround: Downgrade to IVG version 4.1.1. |
