Known issues

180103356

An issue with a specific TLS configuration in Avaya environments can cause callbacks to be disconnected before transferring to agents.

This issue has only been seen in the following scenario:

  • Avaya environment
    • Avaya Session Manager (SM) configured for TLS to Avaya Communication Manager (CM)
    • SM configured for non-TLS to IVG
  • Using IVG 5.0 or higher
  • With HVP patch 7.2.12 or higher

In this scenario, an issue with the processing of SIP messages can cause HVP to overwrite the TLS port with a 0 when attempting to transfer a customer to an agent. This results in callbacks being disconnected without the customer speaking with an agent.

Versions affected: IVG 5.0 and higher using HVP 7.2.12 and higher

Workaround:

Contact the VHT Support team to discuss potential solutions, which could include:

  • Removing the TLS connection between SM and CM
  • or configuring a TLS connection between SM and IVG
  • or downgrading your IVG version
