License and request usage

The Usage screen of the Licensing application shows both license usage and API request rate for the whole system and for each queue group.

Important:

API request rate is displayed if it is specified in the license file. Contact your VHT® representative for more licensing details.

License usage

Real-time license usage, remaining availability and total availability are available on the Usage screen. The Usage screen graphically displays the current usage of inbound and outbound licenses, and the number of licenses remaining. The usage and remaining license availability for each queue group are also displayed.

Example Usage screen without API request rate:

Licensing_LicenseUsage_CroppedThe number of inbound and outbound licenses available across the entire VHT Callback solution display at the top of the column as Capacity. The list below the graph displays the inbound and outbound licenses in use and the total availability for each queue group.

The Global Pool contains the license usage and total availability for queues not assigned to a queue group.

Deleting a queue group transfers that group's license usage and total availability to the Global Pool.

Enterprise Licensing

If entitled for Enterprise Licensing, inbound and outbound voice have a Capacity of unlimited.

Each inbound or outbound interaction checks out a voice license for the duration of the corresponding voice treatment. Then, the license is released. Inbound and outbound calls continue to process so long as there are licenses available for that type.

As a safeguard, if a license is not released after a reasonable amount of time, it is automatically released by a timeout:

  • Inbound licenses - 15 minutes
  • Outbound licenses - 5 minutes

Inbound calls occupy a license for an average of 90 seconds. Outbound calls occupy a license for an average of 50 seconds.

The Usage screen of the Licensing application graphically displays the real-time API request rate. This screen also displays the API request rate for each Queue Group.

Example Usage screen with API request rate:Licensing_LicenseUsage

The maximum request rate for the entire VHT Callback solution displays at the top of the column. The rate available to each configured queue group displays in the list below the graph.

The Global Pool contains the request rate for queues not assigned to a queue group.

The license file contains the maximum number of requests allowed in the solution per the specified time period. By default, the Global Pool receives this request rate. If necessary, divide this rate between the queue groups.
